And yet, payment processing is an integral aspect of every industry, growing in importance as the eCommerce revolution and mobile shopping shift into overdrive. Similarly, remote working models demand more flexible payment options, such as for companies who need to pay international freelancers.
Many people thought these challenges in online payments were sorted with PayPal, but despite its best efforts, the problems persisted.
Two brothers from a small town in Ireland were fully aware of this - and that’s why they created Stripe. In less than a decade, these brothers turned seven lines of code into a Silicon Valley juggernaut worth $20 billion, handling payments for some of the biggest digital giants in the world, including Amazon, Facebook, Salesforce, and Shopify.
Not so dull after all, then.
